ORGANIZATIONAL OVERVIEW:
Girls Inc. of Upper Canada delivers life-changing programs that inspire girls to be strong, smart,
and bold and engage in advocacy that empowers girls to reach their full potential and to understand, value, and assert their rights. POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the Coordinator of Programs and Operations will be responsible for leading the planning, development, promotion, delivery and management of innovative, content-rich elementary programs for girls 6-18, as well as supporting overall organizational operations from the administrative side. The Coordinator will maintain and expand relationships with area schools and community partners to implement school day, out-of-school time and virtual programs in alignment with our mission of inspiring all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. The Coordinator of Programs and Operations will ensure the implementation of effective administrative systems including registration, data tracking, program evaluation, and organizational policies and procedures. As a strong supervisor and leader in the organization, the Coordinator of Programs and Operations has the ability to inspire and encourage creativity among staff and program participants, and foster participation in program planning, problem-solving and decision-making, helping make improvements to the overall Girls Inc. Experience.
We are looking for a highly professional, strategic and tactful individual with exceptional communication skills, a friendly can-do attitude, experience in programming and a passion for our mission.

QUALIFICATIONS:
 Passion for the Girls Inc. mission
 An awareness of and commitment to social justice education and promoting diversity, equity and inclusion within the organization including support for gender equity, reproductive justice, trans rights and anti-racism
 At least 3-5 years of experience in a formal or informal education or youth development setting, with at least one of those years in a supervisory role
 Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
 Degree or diploma in social work or child and youth development preferred; relevant work and life experience valued in place of or in addition to higher education
 Experience with out-of-school time programs a plus
 High level of comfort and skill with computer applications, technology, email, Zoom, Microsoft Suite and Google Suite  Self-motivated, able to work independently, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills
 Valid driver’s license, with good driving record, and regular access to a reliable vehicle
 Sense of humour and ability to roll with the ever-changing nature of working with children and youth
 Current First Aid and CPR certification
 Clean criminal record and vulnerable sectors check

35-hour workweek, flexible hours are required including some evenings/ weekends,
the position is based at our Brockville office but travel throughout Leeds Grenville will be
required. $40,040-$46,410 annually
